Alda is a village in Hall County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 652 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Grand Island, Nebraska Micropolitan Statistical Area. Alda is located at 40°52?8?N 98°28?7?W? / ?40.86889°N 98.46861°W? / 40.86889; -98.46861 (40.868932, -98.468529). According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.3 square miles (0.9 km²), all of it land. As of the census of 2000, there were 652 people, 237 households, and 172 families residing in the village. The population density was 1,859.3 people per square mile (719.3/km²). There were 248 housing units at an average density of 707.2/sq mi (273.6/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 95.55% White, 0.31% African American, 0.31% Native American, 0.15% Asian, 2.91% from other races, and 0.77% from two or more races.
