According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 6.7 square miles (17 km2), all of it land. As of the census of 2000, there were 635 people, 254 households, and 179 families residing in the town. The population density was 95.2 people per square mile (36.8/km²). There were 294 housing units at an average density of 44.1 per square mile (17.0/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 91.18% White, 6.30% Native American, 0.16% Asian, 0.79% from other races, and 1.57% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.89% of the population.
