As of the census of 2000, there were 791 people, 269 households, and 210 families residing in the city. The population density was 951.4 people per square mile (368.0/kmē). There were 341 housing units at an average density of 410.2 per square mile (158.6/kmē). The racial makeup of the city was 68.90% White, 9.36% African American, 0.25% Native American, 21.11% from other races, and 0.38% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 39.95% of the population.
