Arlee is a census-designated place (CDP) in Lake County, Montana, United States. The population was 602 at the 2000 census. It is named after Arlee, a Flathead Indian chief. Arlee is located at 47°10?9?N 114°5?24?W? / ?47.16917°N 114.09°W? / 47.16917; -114.09 (47.169154, -114.089899). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 6.5 square miles (17 km2), all of it land. As of the census of 2000, there were 602 people, 235 households, and 161 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 92.8 people per square mile (35.9/km²). There were 268 housing units at an average density of 41.3 per square mile (16.0/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 45.85% White, 50.00% Native American, 0.66% from other races, and 3.49% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 5.15% of the population.
