According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.6 square miles (1.6 km2), all of it land. As of the census of 2000, there were 217 people, 99 households, and 60 families residing in the city. The population density was 333.7 people per square mile (128.9/km²). There were 127 housing units at an average density of 195.3 per square mile (75.4/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 88.48% White, 10.60% African American, 0.46% from other races, and 0.46% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.46% of the population.
