Avoca is a city in Murray County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 147 at the 2010 census. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.3 square miles (3.4 km2), of which, 1.1 square miles (2.8 km2) of it is land and 0.2 square miles (0.52 km2) of it (15.50%) is water. It is just south of Lime Lake. As of the census of 2000, there were 146 people, 67 households, and 38 families residing in the city. The population density was 134.3 people per square mile (51.7/km²). There were 73 housing units at an average density of 67.2 per square mile (25.9/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 100.00% White.
