It is part of the McComb, Mississippi Micropolitan Statistical Area. As of the census of 2000, there were 1,680 people, 605 households, and 413 families residing in the town. The population density was 725.5 people per square mile (279.6/km²). There were 704 housing units at an average density of 304.0 per square mile (117.2/km²).
