Cora is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sublette County, Wyoming, United States. The population was 76 at the 2000 census. Cora is located at 42°57?N 109°59?W? / ?42.95°N 109.983°W? / 42.95; -109.983 (42.95, -109.98). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 5.4 square miles (14.0 km²), all of it land. Due to its high elevation, Cora experiences a subarctic climate (Köppen Dfc) with long, cold, dry winters and short, warm summers. As of the census of 2000, there were 76 people, 38 households, and 25 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 14.1 people per square mile (5.4/km²). There were 60 housing units at an average density of 11.1/sq mi (4.3/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 98.68% White, and 1.32% from two or more races.
