Cornish is a town in Cache County, Utah, United States. The population was 259 at the 2000 census. It is included in the Logan, Utah-Idaho (partial) Metropolitan Statistical Area. Cornish is located at 41°57?56?N 111°57?9?W? / ?41.96556°N 111.9525°W? / 41.96556; -111.9525 (41.965668, -111.952636). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 4.8 square miles (12.6 kmē), of which, 4.8 square miles (12.5 kmē) of it is land and 0.21% is water. Cornish emerged as a town on the Oregon Short Line Railroad. It was formed into a separate ward in 1907. As of the census of 2000, there were 259 people, 73 households, and 61 families residing in the town. The population density was 53.5 people per square mile (20.7/kmē). There were 76 housing units at an average density of 15.7/sq mi (6.1/kmē). The racial makeup of the town was 97.68% White, 0.77% Asian, 0.39% from other races, and 1.16% from two or more races.
