According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.1 square miles (8.1 kmē), all of it land. As of the 2000 census, there were 404 people, 160 households, and 104 families residing in the city. The population density was 128.6 people per square mile (49.7/kmē). There were 183 housing units with an average density of 58.3 per square mile (22.5/kmē). The racial makeup of the city was 90.84% White, 0.50% African American, 6.93% from other races, and 1.73% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 20.30% of the population.
